THE MAX FOUNDATION
Copper partnered with The Max Foundation to develop an ambitious long-term strategy. Since 1997, Max has delivered life-saving medicines to thousands of patients in low- and middle-income countries around the globe. In 2021 they were ready to think boldly about what more they could achieve on behalf of patients. The result was a visionary, high-impact strategic plan that now guides every aspect of their work. Max chose to double their patient load, expand their service array, and diversify their pharma relationships to provide new treatment options for patients. Our role was to strategize with leadership on what was possible, to facilitate team meetings where big questions were discussed, and to drive decision-making. We walked hand in hand with the global leadership team to define core beliefs, identify strategic priorities, and translate them into quantifiable goals. Copper is proud to celebrate Equity In Action and ensure that geography is not destiny through its partnership with Max.

RAINIER SCHOLARS
Copper partnered with Rainier Scholars’ leadership, staff, and board to design an inspiring five-year strategy to cultivate the academic and leadership potential of underrepresented students of color. Building on a strong twenty-year history centered on scholars and their families, Rainier Scholars is now tripling the number of students served, expanding support for alumni, and affecting systemic change in education. We loved working with the Rainier Scholars team to build toward a more just and inclusive society with representation of people of color at all levels of leadership and influence.

BELLEVUE SCHOOL DISTRICT
Copper Strategic has supported Bellevue School District (BSD) since 2020, working with leadership and staff to navigate the intense academic, operational, and social complexities of the COVID-19 pandemic. We have an ongoing role supporting BSD’s Superintendent’s Community Advisory Council (SCAC). The SCAC is a 24-member citizens committee, reconfigured each year, that brings a diverse set of voices to the table advising the Superintendent. This work had led to increased investment in mental health resources for students and staff, thought partnership on how to prepare all BSD students for global competency, and best practices in authentic community engagement.
